“Blogging can make money?” my friend asked me. Somehow, this is the reaction I get from many people whenever, I tell them that it is possible to make money from blogging. However, this may sound easy. Many bloggers failed to make even one cent. It is actually not as easy as it seems to make money online from blogging.
To monetize your blog, you will need to put in some hard work and most importantly, patience is a virtue. Setting up a blog takes time, so does waiting for search engine to index ones’ blog.
Google Adsense is the most common way to monetize your blog. You can incorporate Google Search, Link ads and CPM (cost per thousand impression) in to your blog and make money from your visitors.
Next one on the list is signing up with affiliates. You will be paid whenever a visitor to your site clicks on the affiliate button and buy something from there. These are the common big brands that have affiliate program. Companies like Amazon and Linkshare manage some of these big companies affiliate programs and you can sign up with them to choose the category that suits your site theme.
Some people will build blogs and take ownership of the site (means use buying a domain name .com, instead of using free blogging sites), then advertise their blog for sale in websites like http://www.sitepoint.com/.
There is money to be made from Pay Per Post. As the name goes, you get paid to write review on the product chosen by Pay Per Post. Sound simple?
If you can write and know how to set up a blog, you can actually sell your services. There are many companies that are willing to pay someone to set up a blog about their company product or services.
